ITSAS GAS, jointly-owned by Ente Vasco de la Energía –the Basque Government’s energy agency, is leading the project for introducing LNG in the maritime area in collaboration with the European Commission through Core LNGas Hive.

 

The European Maritime Safety Agency is one of the EU’s decentralised agencies. Based in Lisbon, the Agency provides technical assistance and support to the European Commission and Member States in the development and implementation of EU legislation on maritime safety, pollution by ships and maritime security.

Mission: To ensure a high, uniform, and effective level of maritime safety, maritime security, prevention of, and response to, pollution caused by ships as well as response to marine pollution caused by oil and gas installation.

Vision: To promote a safe, clean and economically viable maritime sector in the EU.
